This is how MUNICH FABRIC START 2023 was

DARE and CARE

With a realistic view, but clearly positive, the MUNICH FABRIC START trade fair (24 to 26 January 2023) came to an end last week in Munich. For trend research, sourcing, information and intensive exchange, more than 14,000 visitors from 58 countries, in particular from the DACH region, Benelux, Scandinavia, the UK and Turkey, came to the events of Munich Fabric Start Exhibitions GmbH at the MOC and the Zenith Areal.

Firmly anchored in the trends is a new awareness of responsibility for people and planet, the central importance of craftsmanship to the textile industry, inclusive design and the use of innovative approaches where possible.

The processes of digital product creation – from avatars and colour apps to virtual models and dressing rooms as well as the creation of transparency in the supply chain through digital interfaces and solutions such as a digital product passport – were presented by numerous companies and explained and discussed in depth in lectures.

Very successful trade fair appearance for the DTB

The DTB – Dialog Textil-Bekleidung e.V. also looks back on three successful trade fair days in the very well frequented Hall 2: At the DTB trade fair stand, the DTB board members, numerous member companies and many new interested parties met for personal exchanges. DTB business partners used the DTB stand as a base for visiting the fair and a meeting point for business partners.

We are very happy about the many visitors, the positive feedback on our stand and also the great interest in our DTB event programme 2023. Together we not only discovered new topics at the fair, but also prepared concrete ideas. We are now highly motivated to finalise our event programme: our basic training courses for quality management, textile science and sustainability will definitely be included. In keeping with the spirit of the times, our dialogue field of sustainability with external partners will be further expanded this year and we are looking forward to two major events with TIHCAD and the Albstadt-Sigmaringen University of Applied Sciences.

Well-attended DTB trade fair regulars’ table

After a successful second day at the fair, the exchange continued in an informal atmosphere at the Motorworld in Munich. At the well-attended DTB regulars’ table, participants met for a social get-together and reviewed the day at the fair. In addition to technical discussions, there was also the opportunity for personal contact – that’s what makes the DTB special! We are pleased that we were able to establish another platform for eye-level exchange among our members with the trade fair regulars’ table and are already planning the next event!
