The new EU Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will come into effect in less than 12 months. All companies that process personal data of EU citizens must adapt to this regulation by the 25th of May 2018 without any transition periods.
The new Data Protection Regulation aims to develop a EU-wide standardization for Data Protection. Amonst other things, the new regulation has been designed to strengthen the end-consumer and on the other hand to impose harder punishments for companies that don’t adhere to data protection regulations.
