Whistleblower protection law in practice

On 2 July 2023, the new Whistleblower Protection Act will come into force in Germany. It is designed to protect whistleblowers by law and requires companies to provide safe Establish channels for reporting company-relevant grievances and operate the reporting offices in accordance with the law. Companies with 250 or more employees are immediately affected by this new regulation, companies with 50 or more employees from 17 December 2023.
