Eco-info for beginners

Eco – Info for beginners: Chemicals management in compliance with the law and implementation in practice

The EU chemicals regulation REACH has officially regulated European chemicals law since 2007 and thus also the limit values of “chemicals in products”. Thus, most chemicals used in textile and leather production are now also subject to strict regulations. In order to comply with the law when purchasing, most manufacturers now use so-called “Restricted Substance Lists” (RSL).

As before, however, the DTB Eco-Infos in combination with the Eco-Info brochure as a supplement offer the solution for genuine in-house chemicals management, which at the same time takes into account compliance with the REACH limit values. Above all, however, non-specialists also receive a quick and uncomplicated introduction to the complex subject matter and the necessary basic knowledge.

In addition to the European requirements, you will receive an overview of the GB standard, the basis for product conformity in China, which applies regardless of whether products are manufactured locally or imported and is the prerequisite for entering the Chinese market. Companies that want to tap into this market need to know these relevant testing standards that are required for the products.

Agenda:

International Chemicals Law
Chemicals – Limits and testing methods
Textile chemistry – from RSL to MRSL
EU Green Deal – Textiles and Chemicals Strategy

Chinese Standard Classification
China Recall System
Products that stand out in the market
Market monitoring in China

After an introduction to the relevant guidelines and regulations, there will be sufficient time for discussion and questions.

Speakers:

Nicole Espey | CEO GreenAixChange GmbH

Dr. Dirk von Czarnowski | General Manager VC Global GmbH
