DTB Annual Convention

DTB Conference 2023

The motto of our conference this year is

“Challenge Gen Z.How can the industry adapt to the upcoming generational change?”

The conference will focus on topics such as job profiles of the future, personnel, training and much more around the future of our industry.

We present a varied programme with presentations, workshops and time for networking and look forward to exchanging ideas with you and our member companies and guests from a wide range of organisations.

We are very pleased that we have been able to attract top-class speakers for our lectures and workshops. The keynote speech introducing our conference topic will be given by Rüdiger Maas, board member and founder of the Institute for Generation Research.

(c) Rüdiger Maas

In his keynote speech, Rüdiger Maas, board member and founder of the renowned Institute for Generation Research, will cover captivating topics, and the other conference items will also offer you great added value:

All participants gain insight into generational research and the different characteristics and peculiarities of the different generations.

It will be exciting to learn about the difference between digital and analogue cohorts and to analyse the impact of technological development on the different generations.

Exploring the lifeworlds of Generation Z and the challenges and opportunities this generation faces contributes to mutual understanding.

With a view to the working world of Generation Z, we will discuss necessary adaptation strategies and success factors for companies and managers. Here Rüdiger Maas can give valuable tips on how to shape a successful cooperation between the generations and which stumbling blocks should be avoided.

In addition to exciting workshops on the topic of “What skills will we need in the future?” we are looking forward to an interesting lecture on the topic of “How do we inspire young people to work in fashion?” by Christoph Schwarzl, Shareholder and Managing Partner International Business Development & Technology bei h+p hachmeister + partner GmbH & Co. KG.

Afterwards, we would also like to invite you to a tried and tested tradition of the DTB Annual Conference: At our Bavarian Evening you can meet familiar faces again and make new contacts over excellent food.

In conjunction with the annual conference, our annual general meeting and the upcoming election of the DTB board will take place. You can find an overview and all information about our candidates on the DTB blog.

In conjunction with the annual conference, our annual general meeting and the election of the DTB board will take place – on 18.07.2023, the day after the DTB annual conference, the Munich Fabric Start trade fair will start in Munich.
