Ongoing adaptation to international requirements is a constant challenge for the

the DTB – Dialog Textil-Bekleidung e.V. (Textile Clothing Dialogue) has created a standard work for an overview and exchange with suppliers on currently applicable directives and chemical laws.
As early as the beginning of the 1990s, when questions about textiles and ecology were still being
were treated as a real niche topic, the DTB founded the working group “ÖKO-INFO” in order to
develop human ecological criteria for textile sourcing. The result was a
practical form with limit values for chemicals, the “DTB Öko-Info” for use in the textile industry
sourcing.
From these beginnings, a real success product has emerged: every year, numerous
companies the ÖKO-INFO in the purchasing process. Today, the corresponding pollutant limits are anchored in law throughout Europe. The EU chemicals regulation REACH has officially regulated European chemicals law since 2007 and thus also the limit values of “chemicals in products”. Thus, most chemicals used in textile and leather production are now subject to strict regulations. In order to comply with the law when purchasing, most manufacturers use so-called “Restricted Substance Lists” (RSL).
The DTB Eco-Info brochure serves as a communication tool and together with the Eco-

garment manufacturers on the one hand and material suppliers on the other. The

Basic webinar end of March
