40 Years of DTB – An Unforgettable Anniversary
On September 1, 2025, Dialog Textil-Bekleidung e.V. (DTB) celebrated its 40th anniversary in the historic banquet hall of the State Hofbräuhaus in Munich. Around 130 guests from Germany and abroad accepted the invitation and enjoyed a day filled with inspiring presentations, emotional moments, and valuable networking opportunities.
A Network That Connects – Since 1985
Founded in 1985 by Willy Bogner, DTB has evolved over the past four decades into a unique platform that today brings together more than 200 member companies from 10 countries. Its founding vision—that sustainable solutions for the textile and apparel industry can only be achieved through dialogue and collaborative partnerships—continues to shape DTB’s mission to this day.
One of the most memorable moments of the celebration was the tribute to Willy Bogner, DTB’s founder and visionary, who attended the event together with his daughter, Florinda Bogner. A film and presentation by Reto Lamm and Brigitte Lehrhuber honored the Bogner family’s remarkable lifetime achievements, receiving prolonged applause from the audience.
Inspiration Through Presentations and Discussions
The anniversary program provided valuable insights into some of the industry’s most important future topics.
Textile Circular Economy: Professor Dr. Thomas Gries (RWTH Aachen University) presented both the opportunities and the challenges of implementing circular economy principles in the textile industry.
Artificial Intelligence in the Textile Industry: Keynote speeches and panel discussions, including contributions from Hans Peter Hiemer (Assyst GmbH), demonstrated how AI is becoming a driving force behind the industry’s digital transformation.
Stories from 40 Years of DTB: Member companies shared their experiences, reflecting on how the industry has evolved over the past four decades and highlighting the role DTB has played throughout this journey.
Moderator Wilfried Bäuning guided the audience confidently through the day, inspiring participants with his energy and engaging presentation style.

The day concluded with the traditional Pre-Wies’n Gaudi at the Hofbräuhaus. Bavarian music, traditional Oktoberfest specialties, and performances by the Kreuther Goaßlschnoizer created a lively atmosphere and provided the perfect ending to a memorable celebration.
